There are a number of opportunities in Scotland for preachers to increase their knowledge of the Bible
and contemporary society as well as develop their communication skills. Depending on which part of the country you
live in, you may want to look at the following opportunities..
Training linkup
Are you a member of SBLPA and currently doing a course or a module and want someone to link up, share ideas, sharpen iron with? Then please get in contact with Glen Cartwright, General Secretary who will be happy to link you up with another person who has or is doing the course. To enable this to be efficent - if you start a course please also keep Glen posted about this."
Scottish Baptist College Courses
The Scottish Baptist College have a range of courses of interest to lay preachers.
New to their menu of courses is their proposal to run an evening course on preaching, specifically aimed at lay preachers, church preaching teams, associate or youth pastors, or others looking to explore their gifts.
Participants would study three key areas:
- Preaching and Communication
- Text to Sermon
- Practicing Preaching
