Prayer Wall

As an exciting, new and permanent feature on our website, the ‘Prayer Wall’ is your opportunity to share items for prayer as well as to encourage with items for praise. You’ll see on this page a  link to it on the left hand side.

And it’s members only access so that only those who are part of the Scottish Baptist Lay Preachers’ Association can visit the wall! We want prayer within the life and ministry of the Scottish Baptist Lay Preachers’ Association to be 24:7 not just what we do together once in a while. Prayer Walls have resulted in some wonderful answers to prayer and we as an Association want to encourage more prayer! Put simply, we need, not more programs, nor personalities but more prayer. We need to get, to coin a phrase, ‘back to basics’!  Maybe you’ve something you’d like us all to pray for? Or perhaps you’d like to request prayer for a service you’re going to preach at? You may want to share items for praise, answers to prayer even!

Prayer is key to all we do and our life and ministry together. Without prayer we may as well shut up shop and go home! Because of the importance we attach to prayer, we have created a permanent prayer wall.

If you are not a member and would like to partner with us in prayer please use the following points:

  • Pray that lay preachers in Scotland will be guided by God as they prepare their sermons and as they prepare to lead services.
  • Pray that the Scottish Baptist Lay Preachers Association and its executive committee will be able to discern how best to support lay preachers and the Scottish churches.
  • Pray that the Scottish churches to whom they go will be open to hearing what the Holy Spirit is saying through the various lay preachers they hear.
  • Pray for revival in the Scottish churches, that Christians in the churches will be on fire for God and gripped by love for Jesus, and that the churches will be empowered to reach out to their communities with the gospel in response to the sermons they hear.
  • Pray that God will call others in Scotland to the ministry of preaching, both as lay preachers and as ordained pastors and preachers.
