Have Bible will Travel

Andrew Young below revews Peter Anderson’s book Have Bible will travel (Ambassador)
I loved reading this account of a much-travelled evangelist. Peter Anderson takes us from his childhood, early days and conversion while in the forces, to a ministry, which extended throughout Britain and further afield into Greece, Eastern Europe, Africa, South America and Asia. As he recounts his experiences, we get insights into some of the difficulties and even dangers faced by Christians in some of these other countries. However, we also see that even in the most difficult situations, the message of the Bible was and is still relevant, and makes a difference to people’s lives. As Anderson nears the end of the book, he notes some of the problems faced by those who seek to declare the Gospel in secular Britain in the present day, and, with reference to some personal experiences, shows how some of these difficulties may be overcome. Mr Anderson writes with such simplicity and a gentle, dry wit. A most enjoyable and encouraging read.
